Lorne M. Lipkus, Founding Partner, Kestenberg Siegal Lipkus LLP, and Chair Education and Training Committee, Canadian Anti-Counterfeiting Network
Lorne M. Lipkus is a founding partner in the Toronto, Ontario, law firm of Kestenberg Siegal Lipkus LLP. He practices throughout Canada in the area of intellectual property litigation with a principal focus on protecting the intellectual property and the intellectual capital of his clients. His personal engagement with his clients enables him to customize end to end proactive and defensive solutions to combat the piracy, theft, and counterfeiting of his clients property. In addition to strategic defensive work, he actively litigates all manner of anti-counterfeiting cases (copyrights, trademarks, and industrial designs) as well as cases involving theft of confidential information, trade secrets, corporate opportunities and tangible property, by former employees, competitors, or others, as well as computer fraud and abuse.

Spencer began his career as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces and has over 20 years of experience delivering technology and security related projects for the Federal Government including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Security Intelligence Service. Since joining CBN in 2006, Spencer has led numerous strategic initiatives for CBN, most notably the Frontier Series Banknotes – the first polymer banknotes for the Bank of Canada, the Series Seven Banknote introduction for the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, and the CRA Excise Control framework for Tobacco and Cannabis control. Spencer is the general manager for the Canadian Payment Systems division and responsible for all security manufacturing operations at the Canadian Banknote Company.
– Ken Doige, founder and CEO, Diplomat Security
Ken Doige is the CEO of Diplomat Security, a bespoke security services provider with significant subject matter expertise within the cannabis, energy, and commercial real estate industries. He is the former vice-president, security at CannTrust, where he was responsible for setting the organizational security goals and to ensure full compliance with all Health Canada and other regulatory security requirements. Ken is a corporate security and emergency management professional with over 30 years of experience in corporate security sectors and law enforcement. Due to his significant experience and efforts, Ken has successfully remediated all outstanding security issues at CannTrust to the point where their licenses to operate have been fully re-instated by Health Canada. In his previous role as vice-president, compliance and risk management with Fire & Flower, he built security systems and an overall security and loss prevention program from the ground up. Ken is a former officer with the Toronto and York Regional Police Services. Ken holds a current Health Canada security clearance for work within the cannabis industry.
