Canada's First Network for Cannabis HR Professionals Launches

Canada’s first industry network for cannabis HR professionals launches this week. Cannabis companies are rapidly expanding to reach operational scale and address supply shortages. HR teams play an integral role in this process, including high-volume hiring, and the need for an industry network reflects the maturation of the sector. The network provides HR professionals in the regulated cannabis industry an opportunity to learn, share, collaborate and build relationships.

“This is the ‘green rush’ and cannabis companies are growing at a breakneck speed, which creates unique challenges for HR leaders,” said Alison McMahon, Chair of the HR Network Strategic Advisory Committee and CEO of Cannabis At Work. “HR professionals are seeking a platform to share strategies on topics like high-volume recruitment and benchmark data on pay and benefits.”

Founding members of the network include CannTrust, Cannabis At Work, Emerald Health Botanicals, Maxton HR, WeedMD, and Zenabis. Membership is open to individuals and corporations in the cannabis sector.

The workshop is open for both members and non-member of the HR Network. More details are available at www.cannabishrnetwork.com
