Aurora Cannabis launches search for Canada's Top Budmaster

Calling all Canadian budtenders! Aurora Cannabis is kicking off the search for Canada’s Top Budmaster through a national competition that will recognize cannabis professionals across the country who are guiding consumers as they navigate the new world of legal cannabis.

Through a series of skills-based and knowledge-testing events, as well as through digital competitions, Canada’s budtender community will be able to demonstrate their expertise in cultivar characteristics and histories, product categories and formats, exceptional customer service, and must also showcase how they contribute to the community and culture.

As Canada’s first legal 420 holiday approaches, it’s time to recognize the women and men in cannabis retail stores who educate consumers every day. These passionate, knowledgeable budtenders on the front line continue to break stigma and grow the cannabis community by helping more and more Canadians learn about the plant, its properties and how cannabis can fit responsibly into their lives.

“We wouldn’t be where we are today as an industry, and as a company, without the cannabis advocates who fought to break boundaries and challenge perceptions,” said Terry Booth, CEO. “Aurora thanks the cannabis leaders of the past, and we applaud the work of budtenders everywhere who are educating Canadians on cannabis, and helping to grow a strong and long-lasting future for the cannabis movement.”

How to Enter:

Aurora invites all professional budtenders who are currently employed by an authorized cannabis retail store to see if they have what it takes to become Canada’s Top Budmaster ™ by registering here, (https://pro.auroracann.com/budmasters/) with Aurora’s new digital budtender community Aurora Pro, which will help budtenders connect with each other across the country, learn about new products and brands, continuously upgrade their knowledge and skills, and advance their career in the cannabis industry.

Interested budtenders are encouraged to register on Aurora Pro before June 1, 2019. Canada’s Top Budmaster Competition will conclude on October 17, 2019, the first anniversary of legalization, where Aurora will present the Top Budmaster award to one deserving finalist. Aurora will be providing further details about how you can become Canada’s Top Budmaster and participate in the Aurora Pro community soon.
